3.5 years at Twitter and my goodness what an incredible ride and journey it has been. Hands down THE best experience with the best team of humans to produce the best community building and inclusive marketing experiences for the culture. It was the honor of my life to be able to champion for voices and communities around the world by centering their experiences and culture in order to make sure everything Twitter produced reflected the authenticity, beauty, strength, dynamism and resilience of our people. The Culture and Community team together WITH our #TwitterVoices built the foundation and industry standard of how to thoughtfully recognize, serve and amplify historically marginalizedcommunities. We led with heart, challenged ourselves to dig deeper, got uncomfortable, listened without ego, solved for impact, grounded ourselves in insights and then layered in the vibes of the CULTURE. Our team NEVER wavered in our mission even in the final days when uncertainty loomed. We buckled up, SPOKE UP and locked in.#ProudAF of us and what we created together. Forever grateful for our entire team of superheroes 💙To our forever #TwitterVoices, y’all made Twitter, TWITTER. The best of what the platform is came from your clever, witty, hilarious, profound, justice seeking, uplifting, passionate, thought provoking and special use of 280 characters. History books will reflect your tweets and your much needed voice during the times our communities needed it most. Thank you for joining us on the journey and for always holding usaccountable and always holding us UP. Every campaign, experience, launch, event, virtual hang & meeting had your indelible mark all over it and that made each activation better, but more importantly it made the world around us better. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.❤️Lastly of all the things, I’ll hold near and dear during my time was that at NO point was I ever asked or required to be a shell of myself. In fact, many times when I tried to “put my head down and work” there was an army of Tweeps and leaders that bamboozled me 🤣 into shining brighter and requiring me to take up more space. They reminded me that I don’t have the luxury of silence when my voice was needed in a space or room. I’ll make sure to keep that same energy wherever I land next. The list of gratitude is long and I can’t even begin the process of thanking all of the Tweeps that have made my Twitter experience top tier. You know who you are and y’all are stuck with me for life babbbyyyyBUT without a doubt I wouldn’t have had this experience without the yes, belief and trust of @GodisRivera @!@NolaBeth and @leslieberland Thank you for everything. ♾️💙Life is Generous and God continues to be the GREATEST.P.S. I’m still the Global Head of Culture and Community… just not at Twitter see the thing is when your heart has always been built around the culture and being FOR the community the role is always mine. No one can take that from me ✨

My 3 years at the bird app have come to a close. I’ve had a lot of 1sts at Twitter and wanted to give #gratitude to everyone who’s been part of the success I’ve had in that time especially my manager Kai Zhu. I was part of an extremely talented team of #engineers working on unique challenges many of whom are now in search of a job. We owned some of the largest-scale datasets/services at Twitter that sit in the critical revenue path. If you need a talented engineer or two, there were 12 of us that were let go. I’d be happy to provide managerial references for those directly reporting to me and peer references for the others. #oneteam

Like many of my colleagues, I also was given the news that today would be my last day as a Sr Technical Recruiter at Twitter. If any of you hear of or know of Senior / Lead / Staff Recruiting roles, I or others in my Twitter circles would definitely have interest. I'd be more than happy to connect you to everyone I'm aware of affected by the RIF. I have an avid interest myself in anything related to gaming, artificial intelligence, software engineering, or the creative space. Twitter was an amazing place to work that cared about it's employees and I'll miss the caliber of folks that were employed there. Everyone was friendly, intelligent, and the work was incredibly exciting and world-changing. I'm sad to see it end, though excited about what it may lead to next.#twitter#layoffs#lovedwhereyouwork #oneteam #recruiting #artificialintelligence #gamingjobs #gaming #machinelearning #tweep #twitterposts #R4R #sourcing

I’m officially unemployed. At least the uncertainty is over. I’m so grateful for the overwhelming amount of support I’ve received!Thank you to everyone @ Twitter that helped me get through the past almost 3 years and Covid with two little ones. I’ll be forever grateful and proud to have made it through that journey. My hope for the tweeps remaining is that you hold true to the values and culture that brought you to Twitter and made it what it was and still could be.To all the tweeps that received their pink slips today: hold your head up high. You will forever hold a special place not with just your teams that will have the impossible task of filling that void somehow, but with all the people that have come and gone from Twitter. #oneteamforever 🫡

My journey with Twitter was short but filled with Action. I left Meta in early April, a job that I loved, enjoyed and cared about for my next opportunity to grow in my career. Literally the week I joined Twitter, the intent of the acquistion was announced and it was a wild ride from day 1. Today I was impacted by the 50% workforce reduction (3700 employees) but I don’t feel as overwhelmed as I had initially feared. Largely due to the fantastic #Tweeps community. Being on a work visa significantly reduces your chances to get a job and also makes you insecure, but what it also does is prepare you for the worst possible scenario. I definitely saw this coming and have been interviewing for the past few weeks with some good leads. But having said that, I am open to anyone who would like to have a chat and is hiring for Product Managers, Program Managers, Strategy & Operations.I am confident that I will be fine because of the community I am fortunate to be a part of and the relationships I have built over the years.#Tweeps #lovewhereyouwork #oneteam #opentowork

Product Leader | Twitter | Magic Leap | Intel

A few thoughts:1) Feeling incredible gratitude for my time at Twitter2) Twitter presented a master class in leading with empathy. I have never seen a group of folks care so deeply for each other despite the "macro" stresses, personal disagreements, and all. At first I was amazed by it. Then I got a bit concerned by how such a culture could thrive in this cut-throat business climes. And now? I am incredibly grateful for this experience. 3) I thought that my last gig at Magic Leap was quite the ride. Twitter showed up and said, "Hold my beer." No regrets. 4) I'll be taking a much needed break and focusing on other things (painting, writing, riding, and anything else that does not require being tethered to a laptop). I'll also be dedicating time to other personal projects.N/b (late addition just because folks are asking): Me and Adaeze T. are good. My heart does go out to those who may not be ok. #gratitude #grateful (Using hashtags because LinkedIn suggested them to me, and because that's what the cool kids are doing these days)

Hey folks, I was part of the layoffs at Twitter today. The hardest part is knowing that a lot of talented, thoughtful, and empathetic Tweeps were impacted through no fault of their own. There's a ton of amazing people floating around out there. Don't miss this opportunity to snatch them up.And I guess I'm out here in the wilderness now too. Let me know the best places looking for product leaders out there. I'm ready to tackle a new challenge!

Lots of really great people left Twitter today, people who shaped a company and did difficult work every day, bringing creativity, care and integrity to their work. If you’re hiring and would like connections to them, please let me know. If you’re no longer a Tweep and I can help at all - get in touch. Grateful for the experiences we shared, and excited to see what you all accomplish. It’s not goodbye, it’s a new adventure.
