A new favorite in our house is Little Charmers. It is a great show that teaches my kids about the importance of friendship and helping each other. They also love the “magic”, animals, music, and fun adventures that the girls have. The Little Charmers feature the girls Hazel, Lavender, and Posieand their friends Seven, Flare, and Treble. We enjoyed making this Little Charmers snack mix recipe together to celebrate our friendship and the fun show we like to watch together.

My kids understand the importance of friendship because I have four kids and they are all great friends – and having a show like Little Charmers that helps reinforce that friendship is a key part of our everyday lives, makes me smile because it really teaches them to be more curious, friendly and outgoing.Little Charmers are the perfect holiday gift! She’s also a gifted Animal Whisperer, and owns a glittery, special magic wand to swoon over!Lavender is a bright and feisty Potionista who knows how to get to the point, stir up potions and put together hip fashions.Posie is a sweet and quirky Spellerina who can come up with spells for any occasion with a song and dance in perfect tune.”

See this video about my 4 year old’s reaction when she got her Little Charmers toys:

Since my four-year-old is often found trying to cast magic spells and dancing with her Hazel doll, she thought it would be fun to make a magical treat for them to share, so we made a Little Charmers Snack Mix and it turned out really great! We addeddyed mini marshmallows pink, blue, and purple then added chopped pretzels, chopped toffee peanuts, and honey nut corn cereal. Then we mixed it all together with melted white chocolate and topped it with sprinkles and mini M&M’s. It turned out delicious and it was pretty easy to make.

My kids loved putting this together with me – in fact, I really didn’t have to do much but supervise. My 4-year-old was even able to help dye the marshmallows! We used a cookie sheet with parchment paper, then we used toothpicks to dip the marshmallows and put them on the tray. To make the dye you will use about 1/2 cup of water and about 5 drops of food coloring (or enough to make the desired color). Put them in tall glass cups so that the marshmallows will go under the water. you will want to dip them quickly so they don’t soak in too much liquid.

Once the marshmallows are done, you will want to let them dry a little while you make the dry mixture for the Snack Mix. Mix 4 cups of the honey nut corn cereal 2 cups ofchopped pretzels, and 1 cup of chopped toffee peanuts. Mix together. Then add the marshmallows. Next, you will add the melted chocolate. To melt the chocolate you will add 1 package of the Almond bark (or chocolate or vanilla) to a microwave-safe bowl and add 1-2 tsp of oil. Heat for about 90 seconds and then flip the chocolate to the other side, then heat another 30 seconds, stir, and then another 30 seconds if needed. The oil will keep the chocolate from hardening. Pour the melted chocolate over the mixture and stir until everything is coated and then spread it out on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Immediately add sprinkles and mini M&M’s if desired. Let cool for about 20 minutes then serve.

The Little Charmers Snack Mix is a great way for my girls to show their “Magic of Friendship” because they can share this treat with their friends and have fun pretending to do magic. We also had a lot of fun making it and I think it would be a great activity for a party or play date for the kids to do with their friends. With the holiday season coming up I know that we will be making another version of this snack mix that is very red and green to let my kids share with their friends. The best part is that you can mix and match colors and other things you want in the mix.
